How to participate
This multi-country design challenge is open to anyone1 who wants to build a desktop that demonstrates a bold vision of a creative future. You can choose to either showcase your Mod Creativity, or you can show us how you can improve everyday life with a Lifestyle Innovation, or both. Participating countries include the fifty United States and the District of Columbia, Canada (except Quebec), United Kingdom, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Japan. Phase 1: Finalist selection
Everyone1 who submits a mod desktop will be entered to compete in the preliminary judging. Our panel of judges – comprised of Sponsors, Intel employees, and industry experts – will select the top mods based on overall mod creativity, look and feel, technical enhancements, essay, and vision. Phase 2: Winner selection
From November 23, 2009 through December 7, 2009, all finalist entries will be displayed on the Intel® Core™ i7 Custom Desktop Challenge web site: www.intelcorechallenge.com. You, your family, and your friends can then vote for their favorite mod – which will be named the People's Choice winner. A panel of industry experts will determine which mods will win in each of the other five award categories.
